JEE Advanced 2015 Exam Dates

JEE Advanced 2015 is referred to the second tier JEE Examination which is a common engineering entrance exam to be collectively conducted by IITs to seek admission in the prestigious institutes – IITs, ISM Dhanbad and IIST, IISER, IISc etc. The admission will be offered to the qualified candidates in the engineering program offered at the aforementioned institutes.

Examination date – JEE Advanced 2015

As per the latest notification, JEE Advanced 2015 has been scheduled to be held on 24th May, 2015. JEE Advanced 2015 will be conducted by IIT Bombay.

JEE Advanced 2015 Important Dates:

  • Online Registration to commence : 2nd
  • Last date for receipt of application fee through e-challan mode: 7th 2015
  • JEE Advanced 2015 Exam Date: 24th May , 2015
  • Announcement of Result: 18th
  • Filling of choices: 26th

JEE Advanced 2015 Eligibility Criteria:

IITs have recently modified the criteria of eligibility for JEE Advanced 2015. Read below for the modified Eligibility Criteria:

  • To be eligible for JEE Advanced 2015, the candidates would have to successfully qualify the JEE Main 2015 Exam and would have to secure rank up to 1, 50,000 to appear in JEE Advanced 2015.
  • Age Limit: The candidates should have born on or after 1st 1990 while SC/ST/PwD candidates should have born on or after 1st October, 1985.
  • He/she shall have to secure minimum 75% aggregate marks (for GEN or OBC-NCL), 70% minimum aggregate marks for SC, and ST or PwD candidates in the Class XII (or equivalent) board examination.
  • As per the JEE Advanced 2015 Eligibility Criteria, only two consecutive attempts are allowed per candidate.

JEE Advanced 2015 Exam Pattern:

  1. There are 2 papers in the JEE Advanced 2015 Exam- Paper 1 and Paper 2
  2. Both the Paper 1 and Paper 2 are held for a duration of 3 hours each
  3. JEE Advanced 2015 is held in offline mode.

JEE Advanced 2015 Application Form:

  • The eligible candidates will have to register online on the JEE Advanced 2015 Official website
  • After successful registration, you will be required to proceed to pay the application fee. The fee is payable through E-challan (auto-generated) and at the CBS enabled branched of SBI.
  • The application fee can also be paid online using Net Banking, Debit card, Credit Card etc.

Details of the JEE Advanced 2015 Application Fees: The application fee as applicable category wise is –

  • For GE and OBC (NCL) Male candidates – Rs. 2000/-
  • For SC, ST, PD Male candidates – Rs. 1000/-
  • Female applicants irrespective of all categories are exempted from fee payment.
  • The applicants from Dubai Centre – US $ 220.

JEE Advanced 2015 Result and Counselling

The Result of JEE Advanced 2015 will be announced on 18th June, 2015. The candidates who will be declared qualified will be called to attend the counselling for the allotment of seats. Each qualified candidates will be assigned an All India Rank. The candidates will then be asked to fill their choices as per the preferences. The seat allotment will be strictly in accordance with the All India Rank and the choices submitted by the candidates. After seat allotment, candidates will be required to report to confirm their admission.
