Procedure of NEET Counselling

NEET Counselling 2017 – The counselling of NEET 2017 for allotment of 15% All India Quota seats is to being from July 03, 2017. NEET counselling is to be conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), in online mode. The online registration for NEET Counselling 2017 will commence from July 03 to 11, 2017. Only the candidates who have been selected for 15% All India Quota seats can participate in NEET 2017 Counselling. The first round seat allotment of NEET counselling is to be made available on July 15, 2017. Whereas, the seat allotment round 2 is scheduled to be announced on August 08, 2017. It must be noted that NEET counselling 2017 will be held in two rounds only. Candidates participating in counselling cannot withdraw their allotted seats after second round. The allotment of seats will be done only on the basis of All India Rank and preferences chosen by candidates.

NEET Counselling 2017 – Procedure

Candidates can check the procedure of NEET counselling for a better idea.

Step – 1 – Registration – Candidates must click on the link for ‘registration’. To register, candidates have to enter their roll number, application number, name, date of birth, NEET admit card details and a password. Take the registration slip and take a print out of it.

Step – 2 – Choice Filling – The candidates have to submit their choices/preferences of colleges and courses as many times during choice filling period. After selecting, click on confirm button. After submission, no modifications can be done.

Step – 3 – Allotment of Seats – The eligible candidates who fulfills the eligibility criteria will be allotted seats as per their All India Rank and choices filled by them. The allotment letter will be available in the online mode, which must be downloaded. The candidates have to report at the allotted institute for completion of admission formalities. Along with it, they must carry relevant documents and fees as mentioned in allotment letter.

NEET Counselling 2017 – Round 2

If seats will be left vacant after round 1, MCC will conduct round 2 of NEET counselling 2017. All the vacant seats in round 1 will be transferred to second round. The other remaining eligible candidates can participate in round 2. Along with them, the candidates who opted for participating in second round can also participate with fresh choice filling.
