About the Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna University

The Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna University was constituted on 23 November 1973 through UP State Govt. Notification. The University was renamed from its erstwhile name – Garhwal University into Hemvati Nandan University in 1989 to honour Late Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna, the noted statesman of India. It is situated in Srinagar town in the district of Pauri Garhwal in Uttarakhand. The University has 3 campuses, viz. Pauri, Srinagar and Tehri. A wide range of UG, PG and research and doctorate level courses are offered in different disciplines by the University. 180 colleges are affiliated with the university in the state.

Qualification Standards

The nominees that are appearing for the NDA are advised to check all of the information on the assessment such as the qualification standards. The information on the qualification standards is mentioned below:

Nationality:

The nominees should be a:

a citizen of India , or
a matter of Bhutan, or
a matter of Nepal, or
a Tibetan refugee who came to India before the 01 January, 1962 together with the aim of permanently settling in India.
Just single candidates are permitted to write the NDA exam 2018.

Age:

(For NDA I 2018):

The nominees not produced before 2nd July 1997 and not later than 1st July 2000 are eligible.

(For NDA II 2018):

The nominees not produced before 2nd January 1998 and not later than 1st July 2001 are eligible.

Educational Qualifications:

For Indian Army wing of National Defence Academy: The candidates appearing for the examination needs to have passed or appearing course 12th from a recognized board or university.

For Air force and Indian Navy: The nominees should have passed or seeming course 12th with physics and Math from a recognized board or university.

Eligibility criteria as per ONGC Recruitment through GATE

  1. Educational Qualifications

The candidates applying for the above mentioned posts must have Bachelor degree in Engineering and PG in Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Geophysics, Geology, Physics or M.Sc/M.Tech in any discipline.

  1. Age Limit

The candidates must not have crossed 30 year of age in order to fill the application form of ONGC.

Selection procedure as per ONGC Recruitment through GATE

Based on the candidate’s score in GATE released recently, the candidates need to fill the online recruitment form giving all the educational details. Based on the credentials shown by the candidates in the application form, they will be shortlisted and will be send the admit card to participate in the Personal Interview at the centers allocated by the ONGC. After the completion of the interview, the final merit list will be brought out. The metric which will be followed by the ONGC for recruitment would be a 100 marks judgement score, the division of which are as follows:

  • GATE 2016 Score – 60 marks
  • Personal Interview – 15 marks
  • Academic Qualification – 25 marks (20 marks for essential qualification and 5 marks for inner higher qualifications.)
