Important Information of Tripura JEE 2015 Application Form

The Tripura Joint Entrance Examination is a single competitive examination conducted by the Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination for the admission of candidates to seats allotted/reserved for the State of Tripura in various Medical, Engineering, Technical and other Professional Degree colleges and institutions across the country. This article describes the process of applying for the Tripura JEE 2015 exam. Applicants are however advised to review the Official Notification of Examination (NOE), for the qualification requirements of the examination before they fill in the Tripura JEE 2015 Application Form.

The Tripura JEE 2015 Application Form will be made available to candidates through three different modes. Applicants should note that the forms will be accepted only during the specified filing period, i.e from 12 January 2015 to 10 February 2015. The applications for the Tripura Joint Entrance Examination 2015 can be filed through one of the modes that have been described below.

There are three modes/means through which candidates can obtain the Tripura JEE 2015 Application Form. The different means through which the application form can be secured has been described in detail below:

The application form will be available for sale at the counter of the office of the Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination from 12 January 2015 to 10 February 2015. The application forms can also be collected from the specific centers listed below, on paying an amount of Rs.80/-:

1. Government Degree College, Dharmanagar.
2. R.K.Mahavidyalaya, Kailashahar.
3. D.D.Memorial College, Khowai.
4. Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar College, Belonia
5. N.S.Mahavidyalaya, Udaipur.

An alternative means through which the Tripura JEE 2015 Application Form can be obtained, is by sending a postal request along with a postal order for Rs.80/-( in favor of TBJEE, payable at Agartala Head Post Office). The postal request should be inserted in a self-addressed envelope of size 30cm X 13cm, with a postage stamp of Rs.5/- affixed on it.

Applicants can also download the form from the TBJEE website (www.tbjee.nic.in). The applicant should make payment of Rs.80/ in cash, along with the respective examination fee through e-challan in any branch of the State Bank of India.

Candidates should however ensure that they have deposited the examination fees, while submitting/posting the application form, failing which their application forms will be rejected. The examination fees for candidates from different categories are as stated below:

  • For Unreserved categories: Rs.350/-
  • For SC & ST categories: Rs.300/-
  • For BPL UR: Rs.250/-
  • For BPL SC & ST: Rs.200/-

JEE Advanced 2015 in a Nutshell

JEE Advanced is the road for admissions to undergraduate, Dual degree and Integrated Master’s degree programmes in any of the IITs or ISM Dhanbad. However, only the top 1,50,000 candidates who have qualified in JEE 2015 , as per their respective category-wise cut-off scores, will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2015. Both Paper I and Paper II of JEE Advanced 2015 is scheduled to be held on 24 May 2015. Paper I will be conducted between 9am and 12pm and Paper II will be conducted between 2pm and 5pm.The entrance exam will be held across select cities and towns in India,Dubai and United Arab Emirates.

To be eligible to give the entrance exam, students should have appeared for the Class XII Board Examination (or its equivalent), for the first time in all the subjects in the year 2014 or 2015. Students whose results for the qualifying examination were declared in June 2013 will also be eligible to sit for the entrance exam. A second important eligibility clause for students who wish to appear for the entrance exam is that they should have been born on or after 1 October 1990, in case they belong to the General or OBC-NCL category and on or after 1 October 1985, in case they belong to the SC,ST or Pwd category. Candidates appearing for the entrance exam will be allowed a maximum of two attempts which can be taken in consecutive years. Students who have been admitted to any of the IITs or ISM earlier, for courses other than a preparatory course however, will not be allowed to appear for the entrance exam irrespective of whether or not he/she continued or discontinued in the programme.The portal for registration for JEE Advanced 2015 will remain open from 2 May 2015 to 7 May 2015.

JEE Advanced 2015 will have two papers. Each of the two question papers will have three separate sections viz., Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.The question paper will be made available to examinees in both Hindi and English. Candidates should indicate their choice of language, while registering for the entrance exam.The choice of question paper language should however be carefully indicated,as any requests for changes will not be entertained.The test will consist of both objective type-multiple choice questions and numerical answer type questions.The questions are designed to test the candidate’s Reasoning, Comprehension and analytical abilities.Negative marking will be applicable for incorrect answers to some of the questions.
