The Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board has been conducting MP PET or the Madhya Pradesh Pre-Engineering Test for admissions to various Government, Private and other autonomous Engineering colleges in the state of Madhya Pradesh since 1980. However last year, the board scrapped MP PET and adopted the JEE(Main) system as its admission criteria. Therefore, the JEE(Main) Selection format will now be used for admissions to the various private and state funded engineering colleges. MP PET 2015 will be open to students who have passed the 10+2 scheme of the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent. As per the eligibility criteria prescribed by the board, students should have also secured a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in the Class 12 qualifying exam and compulsorily studied the subjects of English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, inorder to be considered eligible. For students who wish to enroll for MP PET 2015, the complete application procedure has been described below.
MP PET 2015 Online Application Process
The application forms for the Madhya Pradesh Pre-Engineering Test is expected to be out in the third week of January 2015. Registrations for the engineering entrance exam will be done online via the official website of the Madhya Pradesh state government, mponline.gov.in. The board will also issue printed application forms, which can be purchased from across specific helpline centers. The complete application process has been described in steps below:
- Applicants have to first type in the official address of the Madhya Pradesh state government portal, to go to the website.
- Select the application link for MP PET 2015, from the homepage of the website
- On opening the application link, you will be able to access the online application format.The online application format will require you to fill in a whole lot of Personal and correspondence details and details pertaining to your past academic record. Make sure you provide complete information, failing which your application may be rejected
- Students who are attempting JEE (Main) 2015, should mention their JEE Main 2015 Roll Number in the application form
- Once you have filled in all the details completely, you can remit the application fee via Debit card/Credit card or other Netbanking Facilities. Applicants from the General/OBC category will have to pay an application fee of Rs.400. For applicants from the SC,ST and PWD categories however, only a concessional fee of Rs.250 will be charged. Applicants who wish to pay the application fee through an authorized kiosk, will have to pay an additional amount of Rs.30
- On completing payment, verify the details entered and make submission of the application form. Secure a printout of the completed form for your own personal reference thereafter
- Applicants are advised not to fill up multiple forms, unless their previous application has been rejected. The board will allot 10 days to applicants to modify or make any changes in their application form
