GATE 2017: Eligibility requirements, Application Process & Exam Pattern

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is conducted by the joint committee of IIT’s and IISc on a national level which tests the candidates on their knowledge of the core subjects in Engineering. Around 15 lakh students took the exam this year for admission to M.Tech and other PG courses in engineering and science in India. The candidates who have finished their graduation in engineering or their masters in science are eligible to take the exam. The application forms for GATE 2017 have been released online. The eligible candidates can fill the online application forms and register themselves for GATE 2016. The candidate must have the required documents to be uploaded during the application process. The candidates can use the GATE 2016 scores to get admission into post graduate courses in IIT’s, IISc and various other government and private institution located across the country in the field of engineering. It can also be used for being employed in the Private and Public sector companies.
