NEET PG Eligibility Criteria defines the terms of eligibility that every candidate must satisfy before filling the application form. If any candidate is found to violate any of the terms of eligibility, he will be rejected from admission process regardless of the stage he is in. The exam governing body will define eligibility in terms of age, educational qualification, reservation policy, and more. Verification of eligibility will be done by checking all the documents and certificates at the time of document verification stage. If any candidate fails to meet even a single clause, he will be barred from taking part in admissions any further.

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must hold a MBBS degree completed from a recognized national or international medical institute or college. The college/ institute must be included in the schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • He must have completed the mandatory internship after the degree or during it.
  • Candidate must possess permanent registration license of medical practice from Medical Counselling of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC).
  • Those who are still completing their internship may apply for NEET PG Eligibility Criteria and admissions however they will be admitted only if their internship ends by.
  • There is no minimum or maximum age gap for appearing in the exam.

A candidate is ineligible for exam according to the following clauses of NEET PG Eligibility Criteria

  • If a candidate has studied medicine from an institute which is not recognized by MCI or any SMC, he is ineligible.
  • If a candidate has not completed the internship before the proposed deadline, his candidature will be barred.
  • If a candidate has not registered with MCI or SMC, he will not be allowed to take part in the PG medicine admissions.
  • Failing to submit application form in proper format will also make a candidate ineligible for the examination process.
