SSC CGL Exam Details

SSC CGL 2017 – Staff Selection Commission (SSC) was all set to conduct the all important Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination on Aug 5 to 24, 2017. The examination will be conducted in two tiers and the candidate’s participation in every new level will be subject to their performance in the previous tier of selection. The Application form and the online payment of application have been stopped by the SSC after increasing the deadline of last date .

Stages of the SSC CGL 2017

The SSC CGL will be conducted in two stages as against three stages in the previous years. Following will be the two stages of recruitment:

  1. Combined Graduate level tier 1 Exam – Preliminary examination to select candidates for the Tier 2 exam.
  2. Combined Graduate Level Tier 2 Exam – Main Examination to select candidates for the appointment.

SSC CGL Selection Procedure 2017

Following are the stage which a candidate has to go through sequentially as per the selection process laid down by the Staff Selection Commission. The Examination will be conducted in three tiers as indicated below:

  • Tier -I — Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
  • Tier -II — Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
  • Tier -III — Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification

SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2017

The written examination of SSC CGL will consist of two stages – Tier- I and Tier- II.  As per the calendar, Tier- 1 exam will now be held in the month of August 2017. along with the dates of CGL 1.  Candidates who will qualify the Tier-1 exam will be eligible to appear in the Tier-2 Exam in August. For the information, both the exam will be an objective –based test comprising of multiple choice questions.
