JEE Main 2016 Entrance Exam

Introduction:

JEE or Joint Entrance Exam is a national level exam. A huge number of candidates appear in this exam every year. It is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education. The candidates those who qualify in the exam country in engineering courses. It is conducted in two tiers. First tier of exam is JEE Main and second tier is JEE Advanced. The candidates those who qualify in JEE Main 2016 Entrance Exam will be able to appear in JEE Advanced exam provided that they are in top 1.5 lakh top scorers.

We are here providing the details for the first tier of the exam, i.e., JEE Main 2016.

JEE Main 2016 Exam- Important Dates:

Important dates related to JEE Main 2016 Exam will indicate the events related to the exam with the dates associated with it. As missing any of the event may lead to the cancellation or ignorance of the candidate’s application therefore they must have complete knowledge about all the important dates. Since no notification for the dates of the exam has been released therefore they must keep themselves updated with the latest information.

JEE Main 2016 Entrance Exam- Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must satisfy the following criteria required for JEE Main 2016:

  • The birth date of candidates must lie on or after the first week of October 1990.
  • Relaxation of 5 years has been provided to the candidates belonging to PwD, SC and ST categories.
  • Candidates must have cleared the qualifying exam and last two years of school with Maths, Physics as main subjects and any one from biology, computer, chemistry, etc as optional subject.
  • They must have scored minimum of 50% aggregate in class XII.
  • Qualifying exam must have been cleared by the candidates in 2014 or 2015.
  • Those who are appearing in the qualifying exam in 2016 are also eligible if they provide their result at the time of admission.
  • Applicants must pass QE with minimum of 5 subjects.

JEE Main 2016 Entrance Exam- Application Form:

The application form for JEE Main 2016 Entrance Exam will be released tentatively in November 2015. Candidates can fill the form by entering all the correct details. The steps for filling the form are:

  1. Visiting the  Official website of JEE Main and click on the link for “new registration”.
  2. Enter all the details correctly.
  3. Enter mode of exam, exam centre, choice of paper, JEE Advanced 2016 tick box.
  4. Upload the required scanned images.
  5. Submit the fees for JEE Main 2016 Application Form using credit card or e-challan.
  6. Submit the form and download the acknowledgement slip.

JEE Main 2016 Entrance Exam- Admit Card:

Admit card will be released by the board for the candidates those who successfully submit their application for JEE Main 2016 Entrance Exam. JEE Main 2016 Admit card is an important document without which candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. They can follow the steps mentioned below to download their form:

  1. Visit the website of JEE Main or CBSE.
  2. Enter all the details asked there.
  3. Submit the details.
  4. The admit card will appear on the screen.
  5. Download the ticket and take a print out.
  6. Preserve it till the completion of process.

JEE Main 2016 Entrance Exam- Exam Pattern:

There are two papers in JEE Main 2016 Entrance Exam. The pattern for these are given below:

JEE Main 2016 Exam Pattern- Paper 1:

  • The questions will be asked from Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
  • Paper will be comprising of three sections of equal marks.
  • Paper will be Objective type paper.
  • If a candidate chooses an incorrect answer, 0.25% marks of that question will be deducted from the total.
  • Offline and online modes will be available.
  • Un-attempted questions will not have any effect on the total.

The details for paper 2 of JEE Main exam are:

  • It will also be a MCQ paper.
  • Candidates will be tested for aptitude, mathematics and drawing in different sections.

  • Candidates must prepare a strategy for preparation.
  • They must not become hopeless in the exam.
  • Candidates must prefer NCERT books for their preparation.
  • They must not take extra burden by collecting a number of books.
