UPSC Geologist Result 2015 to be announced shortly

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has been entrusted with conducting UPSC Geologist / Geo-Scientist Examination. This exam is conducted for the following posts:
1. Geologist (Group A)
2. Chemist (Group A)
3. Junior Hydro geologist (Scientist B)

Every year, large numbers of candidates appear for this coveted combined examination hosted by UPSC in the month of May. Features of the UPSC Combine Result 2015

1. Result would be issued in two stages – first is declaration of candidates’ names selected for personal interview round. Second is declaration of marks of all the candidates who appeared in the examination.
2. The candidates who are declared qualified in the written examination have to report to the personal interview venue as per the schedule. They must carry all the necessary documents and certificates with them for authentication purpose.
3. A candidate can see the marks obtained in the UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist 2015 Result few days after the final selection are made. The link to download the scorecard would be made active for around a month.
UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist & Geologist Result selection will be done based on performance in written exam and merit list of candidates, which will be declared category wise. Candidates who make it in the merit list and cut off marks with minimum passing marks will be selected and called for next round of recruitment process which will be a Personal Interview.

Those candidates who will qualify in the written examination will have to fill the Detailed Application Form (DAF) which will be available on the UPSC website and which must also be filled within 15 days of declaration of Result.

The Personal Interview Test will be conducted in the month of November 2015. At that time, the original certificate of the candidate will also be checked. So, the candidates are required to produce that during the Interview.
