How to check AIPMT Result 2016

All India Pre Medical Test Result (AIPMT) Result will be declared by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in online mode on its official website. All the candidates who attempted the medical entrance examination for getting admission in medical/dental UG courses can check their marks by entering some basic information. The result is expected to be declared on 17 August  2016. Result of only those candidates will be issued who score the least qualifying marks in the exam.

These marks are different for each category of the candidate. The candidates who cross this benchmark and are selected for the merit list, will be called for the next stages of admission i.e. counselling and seat allotment. As per the AIPMT 2016 Results, a cutoff will be declared which are the minimum marks for getting included in the merit list. Those candidates who are able to score marks equal to or more than the cutoff will be called for option filling round of counselling process.

Ordering in the merit list will be called according to their marks in the result. Higher the marks will result into lower ranking of the candidate. Lower the rank means more chances of getting favorite allotment of course and college. Allotment will be done to the 15% of the total seats in the Government Medical/Dental Colleges of India excluding Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir.

Steps To Check The Result Of AIPMT

  • Open the homepage of the examination to see the scores.
  • Locate the link to check the result on the homepage. Click it.
  • Enter all the necessary info such as roll number, application number, and date of birth.
  • Verify the information for mistakes, correct them and press submit button.
  • Your result cum score card will be shown on the screen.
  • Press the print button to take its printout.

Merit list will be formed for delimiting the number of candidates in the admission process. Successful candidates in the Result cum Scorecard of AIPMT will be equal to the number of seats available for admission in MBBS/BDS courses under the 15% All India Quota. A waiting list will also be released by CBSE which will contain candidates equal to 4 times the number of candidates in the merit list. The minimum percentage marks for qualifying the examination is as follows:

  • Reserved Category (OBC, SC & ST) – 40%
  • Reserved Category –PH – 40%
  • General Category – PH – 45%
  • General Category – 50%
