About the Jharkhand Academic Council
The Jharkhand Academic Council came into existence on 15 November 2000 by the way of enactment of the Jharkhand State Legislature. It received an assent of the Governor of the State on 26 December 2003. The JAC conducts the matric and intermediate exams and also designs the syllabus and textbooks of the schools in the state that are affiliated with it.
