What is IES or Indian Engineering Services Assessment?

Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) runs the Engineering Services Exam or ESE 2018 is an entrance exam for graduates who want to work under the Government of India in the sectors of Power, Telecommunications, Railroads, Public works etc.

The assessment consists of a written exam followed by an interview for personality test.

The recruited candidates at IES 2018 will soon qualify for following groups –

What is IES ESE 2018 examination date and schedule?

What is the entry standards of qualification needed for taking the assessment?

B.Tech/B.E or,passed Sections A and B of the Institution Assessments of the Institution of Engineers (India). or,
Obtained a degree/diploma in Engineering from such foreign University/College/Institution and under such conditions as may be comprehended by the Government for the point from time to time, or
Passed Graduate Membership Evaluation of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India); or
Passed Associate Membership Assessment Components II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India; or
Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November, 1959

What’s IES 2018 Exam Application Fee?

Rs. 200 for – General/OBC candidates is Rs. 200
No Application fee for – SC, ST, PH and female nominees

Nominees can make payment through online mode or offline mode.
Online Payment Mode: Credit Card, Debit Card and Internet Banking.
Offline Payment Mode: E-Challan through any branch of SBI (State Bank of India)

How you can apply on-line UPSC IES 2018 Application Form ?

Candidates should scan their photo and signature.
Now nominees should lo gin to UPSC site upsconline.nic.in
Fill up application form with all essential details.
Check the all details carefully and press submit button.
On-Line program System will now generate the registration number.
Get the printout of the online challan and pay the fee for your nearest SBI bank.
Now look at the web portal again to finish the procedure.
Fill the challan number and registration number and press enter.
Take the print from the system generated reference number/form for the future use.

UPSC IES 2014 Result

The official authority of IES 2014 Result Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will release the Indian engineering services (IES) 2014 Result shortly for the candidates who had appeared for IES 2014 examination on 20 June 2014. The result is a very crucial document, which will be hosted in online mode on the official website. The result will be hosted on official website it shall not be made available to the candidates personally therefore, the applicants are advised to visit the website on the date of release.

Following are the procedural steps included in the download of IES 2014 Result:

    • Log on the official website on the date of release
    • Click on the active and download link of IES 2014 Result
  • The applicants are required to enter information pertaining to roll number, date of birth etc
  • Before submitting the details, verify the entered details in the mandatory fields
  • By clicking on the submit or proceed button, the candidates will be able to view and download their UPSC IES 2014 Result

The result will include the performance certificate of the candidates depicting the performance of the candidates estimated in terms of marks scored by the candidates. A merit list is further prepared based on the availability of seats and performance of the candidates in the exam. The official authorities will set the cutoff marks by evaluating a number of factors including the number of candidates appearing for the exam, difficulty level of the exam, past year trends etc. The scoring the cutoff marks will be further called for the interview process after, which the merit list shall be prepared and the final IES 2014 Result will be announced by UPSC authorities.
